Emily’s journey in childcare began over 30 years ago, growing up alongside her mum, Sian Roberson, at her childcare setting, Promised Land. From an early age, Emily was surrounded by children, learning the importance of creating a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where every child could feel valued and supported.

Sian was not only Emily’s mum but also her inspiration and mentor. Through years of experience, Sian taught Emily everything she knows about childcare — from understanding children’s individual needs to creating an environment where children can learn, explore, and flourish. Her dedication and commitment to children were recognised through an Outstanding Ofsted inspection, setting a standard that Emily has always dreamed of following.

Having grown up with childcare at the heart of her childhood, Emily has always wanted to continue the legacy her mum created. With Sian’s encouragement and support, Emily was given the opportunity to carry on this special journey and develop Emi’s Childcare into the setting it is today.

Emily’s vision is to provide children with the same feeling of belonging, happiness, and adventure that she experienced growing up at Promised Land — a place where children can be themselves, build confidence, develop friendships, and create wonderful memories.

The values passed down from Sian continue to be at the heart of Emi’s Childcare today: kindness, patience, learning through play, and ensuring every child feels truly cared for.

From one generation to the next, Emily is proud to continue this family tradition and hopes to create a childcare setting that her mum would be proud of.
